“Love has many faces but violence is not one of them”
During Covid-19 violence against women has increased due to confinement, which is catastrophic. For the international days for the elimination of violence against women (25th November-10th December), the ErasmusPlus group discussed which phrase represents this issue the best.We voted for the phrase “Love has many faces but violence is not one of them”.
It reinforces the idea that violence should not have anything to do with love. Stopping violence against women starts also with the way women are seen and therefore Italy’s phrase was „Do I look like an object?“ That is why we thought it fits really well with this collaboration.
